DEVELOPMENT WORKER
Based at home
SALARY £17,161 - £19,126 pro rata
Hours 15 per week (3 month contract initially)
Flexible to include evenings and weekends.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and organised individual to take on the role of Development Worker with Wyre Forest Nightstop and Mediation Service.
The development worker will be responsible for supporting the project co-ordinator in setting up a befriending scheme, a rent bond scheme and sourcing future funding as well as looking at other areas of development for the project. The role will initially be home based, with some requirement to come into the office or visit relevant third parties as required.
The project aims to provide and deliver good quality, safe and supportive emergency accommodation for young people aged 16-25, in the homes of volunteers, together with meditation between the young people and their families.
Candidates must be able to work alone, show initiative and have the ability to liaise with a wide range of other agencies. Good communication skills are essential for this post.
