Crisis Prevention Team (CPT)

The CPT is made up of ex-service users who meet fortnightly to discuss ways to improve the services for other young people experiencing homelessness and in turn learn a bit about how voluntary sector organisations work.

To recap, the Wyre Forest Nightstop and Mediation Management Committee wanted to invite ex-service users to get involved with the project to improve local facilities for other young people experiencing homelessness. In January 2006 the CPT was formed.

All members of the CPT are volunteers aged 16 – 25 who have used the Nightstop service, or who have been affected by homelessness, or are young people with an interest in homelessness, and are now using their own personal experiences to improve housing services in the district for other young people in the community.

The CPT have produced a DVD of a short film that focuses on the issues that young people face when they were homeless.  This was launched in January 2008 to local agencies and has proved very successful so far.

If you would like a copy of the DVD please contact us.
